Luxury Unique Villas

The villa gave us the mix we wanted: a comfortable, well-equipped stay with modern touches and a real countryside feel. It’s in a quiet, rural setting that felt safe, with birds, goats, and roosters around. The pool was warm enough to use without heating in May, which surprised us, and the kids were glad to have beach toys. Fighter jets from the nearby base can get extremely loud, and some neighboring houses can see into a few windows, though that didn’t affect our stay much. The location worked especially well for our family in the Chania/Souda Bay area, including easy access to the base, about an 8-minute drive to the Visitor Control Center. Check-in went smoothly, Wi-Fi was reliable apart from one evening, and we appreciated being allowed a generous late checkout because no one had booked the property that night. Inside, the linens were comfortable, the showerhead was great, and the Nespresso machine was a nice touch. The A/C worked well in every room. We loved the upstairs bedroom terraces, all the natural light from the windows, and the blackout blinds that let us sleep in. It was a beautiful villa, and we’d recommend it to families visiting the area.
