Monte Vardia Hotel

The hotel and rooms were clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious too. Wi-Fi was the only letdown: it was patchy and slow, so I couldn’t give it five stars.

The people at Monte Vardia made this trip feel personal from the start. Eleni, her family, and the whole team were warm and generous, always ready to help with a smile. Their kindness and care for the little details made the holiday especially memorable. The setting and views are beautiful, the rooms are kept in lovely condition, and the facilities are excellent. We especially loved the huge pool in the sun. We had such a good stay that we can’t wait to come back.

The breakfast spread is huge, and the Montevardia hotel is spotless. Everyone we met was friendly, courteous, and quick to help, whether we needed advice, service, or something for a special diet. It’s run by two sisters who clearly care about their guests, and they made us feel welcome right away. A rare find, and definitely my go-to place in Chania, Crete. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Dr David Uri.

The pool was huge, clean, and never crowded, and our room was lovely and tidy. There’s a supermarket, coffee shop, and fresh fruit nearby, plus a place serving the best gyros near the hotel. The location is wonderfully quiet and relaxing, since it’s away from the city centre, but you can get there any time by bus or car. Eleni, Cristina, Nicholas, and Ioannis made us feel like family we hadn’t seen in ages. Their mother and grandmother deserves a special thank you too. I don’t think I’ve ever had pizza or fish that good. The owners were so hospitable and always there when we needed them. We’ve stayed in dozens of hotels, and this was one of our best experiences. It’s a charming, clean property and really convenient for activities. For me, it’s a five-star hotel. Can’t wait to return.
