Pandora Suites

The old town location is handy if you want to be right in the centre of Chania, though be aware that nearby restaurants cost quite a bit more than places in the “New Port”, which is a 25-30 minute walk from Pandora Suites. We found the town far too touristy for our liking. The building itself is beautifully restored, and Juliana gave us a warm welcome. We were also “lucky” to get the hotel’s one reserved parking spot. Inside, though, we found a surprising list of basics missing: no coffee machine, laundry, ice, blackout curtains, or robes, and the sheets were much too short for the bed. Noise from the room above carried into ours, the bed light switches were out of reach, and the airco remote only worked from one side of the room, not from bed. Breakfast was extremely mediocre, with stale croissants and only apples and rock hard kiwi’s for fruit. If you didn’t come in the first 45 minutes, there could be no croissants or bread left.

Breakfast on the roof terrace was a lovely way to begin the day, and everyone on staff was welcoming and accommodating. My room was spacious, had good facilities, and was cleaned daily. Pandora Suites Hotel is right in the old town by the harbour, with magnificent views of the venetian lighthouse. Cafes, restaurants, and shops are an easy walk away. I really enjoyed my stay.

The rooftop terrace has spectacular views, and breakfast was lovely. My stay was brilliant, with spacious rooms, a great location, and friendly staff.

We could walk easily to shops and places to eat, and the owner saved us a street parking spot, which would otherwise have been difficult. The old town building is beautiful, and the roof deck has a magnificent view over the harbor and ancient lighthouse. I highly recommend it. I only took pictures from the rooftop deck, what a view!
