Plaza 1866 Superior City Rooms

We spent our last two days in Greece at Plaza 1866 rooms after arriving from a nightmare hotel. While we were on the way out of that place, Eva checked us in over the phone so quickly. We’d arrived just after Plaza’s check-in time, and Iva kindly answered and took care of everything. Our two-bedroom hotel was beautiful, with a modern, luxurious feel. Eva was so caring and warm during our short stay, and made us feel very welcome. Her kindness makes us want to come back.

Right in the city centre, so everything was easy to get to. The hotel was clean and the staff were really friendly. I felt very welcome and would definitely recommend staying here.

Iva gave us wonderful service in several languages, and the hotel arranged a day trip to Samaria Gorges for about 50€/pp. Reception can organize other excursions if you ask. The little hotel is charming and right in Chania city centre, with a well-furnished, clean room. We appreciated the complimentary water and wine. It is on a street that gets quite noisy day and night, but they do provide earplugs if you’ve forgotten yours :) The location is handy, about five minutes from the Old Venetian Port and the Bus Station.

The room was very comfortable, and having a taxi stand right outside was handy. The receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful. The hotel is close to the city centre, with food shops, pharmacies, and supermarkets all around. There’s no elevator, though, which made dealing with luggage a challenge.
