Villa Catani

We had a lovely week here and hated having to leave. There was plenty of space for our group of 10 adults and three children, ages 11, 3, and 18 months. The little ones ran around the grounds and enjoyed greeting the geese, cockerels, and cats. All the rooms were large, with enough bathrooms for everyone. We held our wedding in the garden, then ate on the terrace outside the kitchen and still had space to dance afterwards. Restaurants are about a 15-minute walk away, though the route has some steep hills. There are beaches nearby, and taxis arrive quickly if you need one. Light sleepers might want earplugs because the cockerels can wake you in the morning. We first came across this lovely-looking villa last year while planning a family holiday and looking for a place to get married. When we arrived, the friendly owner, Kostas, showed us around. He’d left us tasty pies, watermelon, juice, water, milk, and coffee.

Kostas and his wife made us feel welcome, and even introduced our little ones to the ducks and chickens they keep next door. We were 11 adults and four children, with enough room for everyone to spread out and several shared spaces to gather in. We grilled on the BBQ a couple of times and spent most days in the pool. The villa is thoughtfully designed across three floors, with olive groves and vineyards around it and the ocean beyond. I’d highly recommend it.

A lovely place for a holiday, and the hosts were fabulous. I’d definitely recommend it.
