Portou House

We visited in the off-season and had a very pleasant stay. Georgia was available at all hours to answer questions about the accommodation, the area, parking, and any issues that came up. The room was clean and newly renovated, and the bed was almost too comfortable. Right in the heart of the Old Town, it’s a great location for experiencing Chania, with the waterfront and main historical sites all within walking distance. We booked the third-floor room with access to the private rooftop and jacuzzi. Our only complaint is that we couldn’t stay longer.

The terrace and jacuzzi were the highlight for me, such a relaxing spot. Portou House was spotless, with a modern interior that matched the website photos, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout. I was really happy with my stay and would recommend it for a break in Chania.

The room was small, but the air conditioning was great. It wouldn't start at first, so we called, and when we got back later it was ice cold and almost silent. The location is excellent, and even though the sound insulation isn't great, the little street stays super quiet at night.

After more than a week in Crete, this place felt like home. It's clean and modern, right in the middle of everything, and I can't think of anything more we'd have wanted. Definitely recommend it.
