We had a comfortable stay and a very good experience overall when we came in July 2024. The rooms are spacious and have balconies, the pool is good, and breakfast was delicious. There’s a market downstairs for anything you need, and free shuttle service to Faliraki beach.

Nothing about the rooms matched the photos, and the service was poor. When we checked in late, we were first given keys to someone else’s room, so we had to go back downstairs while the couple inside were sleeping. In the room we were eventually assigned, the electricity was off. I had to find the fuse box and turn it back on myself. It was unbearably hot, and after struggling with the air conditioning, we went down again. The “receptionist” gave us a remote from another room. Nobody had told us at check-in that we needed one. The fridge took two days to cool down after being off while the room was vacant. On our last night, the shower curtain and rail were missing. We’d asked housekeeping not to enter during our stay because we didn’t trust the place, but they went in anyway. I’d ironed our clothes for the whole trip and hung them on makeshift hooks since there was nowhere to hang them. Housekeeping threw them onto the small table, leaving them badly creased. The furniture was old, the shower was awful, and the loud air conditioning dripped water into the room and onto the balcony. It may cost 40€ a night, but the place didn’t match its description and the service was nonexistent. I wouldn’t recommend it if you want somewhere to relax during a trip to this amazing city.

It’s a family-run place with friendly staff, a clean pool and good, affordable breakfast made by the staff. The menu repeated, but we enjoyed it. Our room was a bit old, though acceptable for the price. We were on the renovated ground floor, looking towards the mountains rather than the busy road. Bed linen and towels were changed every two days, and the room was kept clean. The fridge was noisy and the tap dripped, but we got used to it by the second day. We even had goats visit our garden once. There’s a shuttle to the beach and back three times a day, plus car rental at the hotel and a minimarket for basics. The beach is a 20-minute walk, though around 300 metres of the route is alongside speeding traffic without a sidewalk, which my wife didn’t like. We used the airport shuttle too. The staff spoke communicative English. Air conditioning costs extra, but it was already included in our booking. Dinner is available at an affordable price, though Faliraki has so many restaurants that we didn’t try it. I recommend this for a budget trip and wouldn’t mind coming back.

We stayed in July 2022 and left after three nights, even though we had booked five. We didn’t get a refund, but didn’t want the place to spoil the rest of our holiday. The food was inedible, and when we tried to discuss a refund with the owners, they yelled at us in front of other customers instead of having a brief, polite conversation. The first room looked nothing like the pictures. Its furniture was extremely old, the beds and pillows were bad, and it smelled of mold. We asked to move and the second room was a little better, but still very dated. The beds were uncomfortable and made me itchy. The walls were dirty, the room hadn’t been cleaned properly and the tiny bathroom felt disgusting to touch. The photos don’t show that the highway is just behind a fence, with so much traffic noise that resting was impossible. The old air conditioner smelled bad and cost 7 euro a day. Don’t choose this hotel based on the pictures and good comments. We made that mistake, and it ruined our holiday.
