Rosy's House

There’s a lot to like about the apartment itself: it’s spacious, nicely equipped, and has two bathrooms, plus a washing machine and dishwasher, with capsules provided. Each bedroom has air conditioning. It’s also a handy base, not far from Chania’s tourist area. The elderly owners are friendly and happy to chat. The problem is the apartment above. Someone there has several children and keeps very late hours. For all three nights we stayed, the noise from upstairs made it impossible to get a proper night’s sleep. Around 10 or 11 p.m. there was crying, shouting, banging, things being thrown, and furniture moving. On the last night, at midnight, someone even started vacuuming. It went on until after midnight throughout our stay. After a full day sightseeing, I couldn’t relax or sleep here, so I wouldn’t recommend it. That’s the only downside, but for me it’s a major one.
