Villa Kamaraki is in a quiet neighborhood, yet the sea and Platanias's main street are only about a five-minute drive away. We spent 10 days there and felt at home. The house is spacious, very clean, and well equipped, with a lovely pool and an organized barbecue area. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, and there's enough room for eight adults or a large family. The hosts were lovely and helpful. We'd highly recommend it.
It has a country feel, though fancy shops and restaurants in downtown Platanias are only 2 km away. The villa has a charming traditional, rustic look, with exposed stone and wooden beams. Our host was very helpful.
Dina and Effi were lovely hosts, and we got around without a car since taxis were inexpensive. The villa had comfortable beds, a kitchen with all the equipment we needed, and a lovely pool. It feels like you're out in the countryside, although the local town is only about five minutes away and Chania isn't far either.
This place is ridiculously cute, and the owners are amazing. They greeted us with some lovely surprises. The pictures really don't show how nice it is.
