Aeolos Hotel & Villas -Pelion

Breakfast was a real highlight, with plenty to choose from, especially the cheesecake and omelettes. The staff were easy to approach, friendly and happy to help. The hotel is right by the beach, and the grounds are cared for so well. It feels like a little village of white houses, with two lovely pools and a bar where you could sit for hours.

The gardens are gorgeous, with wild roses in all sorts of colors filling the open spaces. Inside, the rooms are roomy and spotless, with comfortable beds. They’re simple but really comfortable, and the staff were so kind, cheerful and accommodating. It feels like they’ve thought of everything.

The pool was a hit, and our apartment was furnished with a lot of taste. We were two adults, two kids (8 and 10) and a baby (1.5), and had a lovely six-night stay. The staff were friendly, too. Getting there means a fair drive along a winding road. Chorefto has what you need, but I wasn’t that impressed by the town, beaches or restaurants. We found better food and sights in nearby villages, about 10-30 minutes away, and one of Greece’s best beaches was around 10 minutes away, at Sarande restaurant. The apartment could use a few basics, like a Nespresso machine and microwave, and the TVs only had Greek channels, with no Netflix. Breakfast at €15 per person felt quite pricey.

We had a really good time here, and the kids especially loved the pool. The villas and hotel are lovely and well looked after, in a great spot in Chorefto. They take good care of both the place and their guests. We’d definitely recommend it.
