Tereza Golden

Golden Beach was sandy in the central stretch, unlike the stonier ends, and it was only a three-minute walk away. A good Carrefour supermarket was even closer. The location worked really well for us. We were there at the end of June, just before peak season, and spent a week at Tereza Golden. We're in our mid-60s, British and Spanish, and having a car on Thassos is definitely useful. The apartment was roomy and full of light, with a modern bathroom and a great, powerful hot shower. Raya and her team kept it spotless. Raya is hardworking, professional, helpful and funny, and her eye for detail when cleaning is something to see. Mary deserves a special mention too, though I'm not sure I've got the Bulgarian spelling right. The pool is small, but a good fit for just 10 apartments and kept just as carefully clean. When we fancied a swim, nobody else was using it, which was great. For fresh fish at lunch, Raya can confirm these picks: Fish Art was superb, and Bepa had the best grilled sardines I've ever had, though it's quite a walk from Tereza. Expect long dinner queues at both, and you can't book either one. For a proper dinner indoors or on the terrace, La Terrasse at Enavlion Hotel was very high quality. It's for dinner rather than lunch, and you'll need to book earlier that day by popping in. There were no scavenging cats, and the men were all wearing shirts. I was the only Brit there, and my wife seemed to be the only Spanish person in the whole resort. That was absolutely fine. The lovely young parents from Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova and Turkey, and their beautifully behaved children, were a delight and a credit to their countries. We loved Skala potamia and Tereza Golden. It was a perfect holiday for us, and we can't wait to come back.

The owners were lovely and gave us helpful suggestions for places to visit and eat. My family and I had a great time, and we'll definitely return. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, with everything seeming new. The kids especially enjoyed the pool, and the beach is right out front. Thanks for everything, and see you next year ☺️

The staff were so friendly, and the rooms were cleaned every day. It's close to both the beach and a market. A really nice hotel, we'd happily come back with the family.
