Amalia Hotel

We had a relaxing holiday and met some lovely fellow guests. The outside areas were pretty, it was a lovely little hotel, and most staff were friendly and helpful. The snack bar lady was awkward with us, though. When we arrived, our triple room was basically a small double with an extra bed, too cramped for three adults and short on storage. They moved us to a lovely room the next day. The main letdown was the basic food. It was a little better for a couple of days, but Friday's meal was like a school dinner, and not as good. The sweets were okay. We ate out on our last night at Castellos just down the road, and had a delicious meal.

The all inclusive drinks were great, and the staff were really friendly. There are lots of places to explore, plus a fantastic beach just a 10 minute walk away. Wade into the water by the church and you'll reach a really private beach. There was nobody there except us! The rooms are small, but we only used ours to sleep in. We had a fantastic stay.

The reviews from a couple of weeks before our visit seemed unfair to me. We spent a week at Amalia hotel and had a poolside room, which was great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food choices are limited but okay, and the all inclusive drinks were good and plentiful. There were three nights of entertainment and three evenings with barbecue food. I'd describe it as small and friendly. It's only rated 3 Star, so don't expect 5 Star. Recommended.

We had an amazing holiday, and the staff deserve thanks. They're fantastic, extremely helpful and work very hard. The hotel is clean and has been recently decorated. Food and drink are included, with a good selection of meals, drinks and snacks. The grounds and pool areas are beautifully maintained. Such a warm, friendly hotel.
