Amonte - Old Town Centre

The apartment had a horrible smell throughout, and it seemed to us like fumes from paint, varnish, or glue rather than ordinary damp. The kitchen and bathroom were dark, with two small windows that wouldn’t open, so there was no way to air them out. There was also a constant barbecue odor in the bathroom. The shower was cramped and the drain nearly backed up enough to flood it. The mattress in the narrow 1.4-meter bed was just as dirty and worn as the place itself. Getting up to the second floor with luggage felt dangerous too. The stairwell was completely dark, and the old, uneven steps seemed hazardous. The whole stay was a disgrace. This shouldn’t be advertised as a vacation rental, and I strongly advise people not to book it.

We found the apartment just as it looked in the photos, and it was very clean. The location was excellent. Our hosts were warm and ready to help with whatever we needed.

If you want to stay in the center, you have to put up with a strong moldy smell and fear. We booked three days but left after the first, and got no money back, even though the apartment was rented out again immediately.

The spot in the Old Town was amazing, and we were treated with excellent hospitality.
