San Antonio Resort

We had a lovely boat trip to old Corfu town, and I’d recommend hiring a car for a couple of days to explore further afield. There’s a good local supermarket within walking distance, and a few good restaurants nearby. Thomas’ was the best. Kalami bay itself is quiet, though a bit run down in places and in need of further investment to make it a really desirable place to visit. The hotel was welcoming and well appointed, with friendly staff. We stayed six nights at the end of September. Our room was a good size. Choose one with a large balcony if you want to make the most of the fantastic views. Breakfast was excellent, and there were plenty of beds at the top-level pool at that time of year.

The library room and gym felt like wasted space to me, and I’d suggest putting them to better use. Otherwise, this late-season break was just what we needed. We had good weather and a really enjoyable week, with excellent breakfast, plenty of choice, and very friendly, helpful staff. If you want to get away from it all, enjoy great food and lovely weather, take in the amazing hotel views, and spend time on the beach with a book or two, this place is a good fit. The village is small and really charming, and the room has an amazing view. We had a great time, and the amenities were just right. Breakfast was great too. My only question is why guests have to pay for a beach bed.

We had a wonderful stay, and the service was excellent. The room had everything we needed, though the shower pressure was a little weak. The hotel is a good base for exploring the island’s northeast, but we rented a car to get around the whole island. The views were stunning too. One of the best places I’ve stayed.
