tonias place

I had a quiet, clean place for my six-night stay, and the location made getting around practical. The main beaches are served by buses from Corfu, while the port is about 15 minutes away. San Rocco Square, the main bus station, is under five minutes on foot, and Corfu's old part is a five-minute walk. The owner was very friendly when I asked about checking in early, and it was no problem. One small thing: the shower has only a screen, so the toilet gets a bit wet when you shower.

The landlady was lovely and very easy to deal with, and I'd happily stay again. The balcony looks out over Corfu's traditional market and the old fortress, with supermarkets just a minute away and other sights within easy walking distance. The apartment has a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and balcony.

Getting in any time of day or night was easy with the key box, which worked without a hitch. The landlady was friendly and attentive, and the apartment is right in the center, well placed for the city.

Right in the old city, next to the market, this classic old house felt warm, welcoming and clean. The owners are unusual in the best way, kind, polite, humane, trustworthy and honest. Well done to them. I'd go back if I got the chance.
