Hotel Koutriaris

The staff were very hospitable, and I was welcomed with a nice frappé from the coffee shop next door. My room was really clean, cleaner than some hotels I’ve stayed at in Athens.

Dístomo locals were welcoming, and I found the freshest food at the village taverns. From there, the beaches at Aspra Spitia and Antíkyra are about a 15 minute drive, Ágios Isídoros is 20 minutes away, and Váltos takes 25 minutes. The views from Profítis Ilías, just outside Antíkyra, were the most memorable I’ve ever seen. The churches are always on top of mountains. These places are a must for anyone who values Greece for its beauty and wants to avoid congestion and crowds of tourists. Hotel Koutriáris is in one of Dístomo’s two plazas, about 450 meters above sea level, so it’s a cool escape from hot summer days. Loukás is a wonderful host, friendly and accommodating. He introduced me to locals and was happy to help with anything I needed. Great value for the price. Thank you, Loukás, for your hospitality!

I’d booked a hotel in Arachova, but the weather turned awkward, so my company and I decided to try Koutriaris hotel for the night and hope things improved by morning. I’ve traveled a lot and stayed in plenty of hotels, but I’ve never encountered staff so polite and friendly. Absolutely recommend it!

Right in the village center, with easy parking and free WiFi. The staff are very friendly, and the big square is a nice place to have coffee or a drink.
