Villa Kapella Corfu

A handy base for a few days, with Aqualand Corfu Golf club and the beach close by. We had a functional two bedroom apartment in a lovely quiet spot, with great views. There are also some fantastic local restaurants and eateries nearby to try.

The owners are really friendly and kind. The rooms are very nice, in a quiet area close to Glyfada beach, and Corfu town is about 15 minutes away.

Vatos worked well for our 13 nights over Easter in April. The mini supermarket run by Linda and Ismini and Pavlos's bakery, with fresh bread and cookies every day, are right there. Pelekas is about 10 minutes away for restaurants like Alexandros and Jimmys, while Paleokastritsa takes around 30 minutes. Glyfada and Myrtiotissa are the closest beaches. Porto Timoni, Canal D’Amour and Kassiopi are roughly an hour’s drive, and having a car is recommended for exploring the island. They also offer car rentals. From the apartment, the airport is about 25 minutes away and Corfu town around 30. We were a family of four in a second floor apartment. There are different accommodation options depending on group size. The place looked simple and attractive, had all the basics, and smelled of citronella and lavender. Christina was very accommodating: we asked for a sharp knife and an indoor dining table, and she got them for us the next day. The table on the terrace wasn’t much use in the chilly mornings and evenings, but the semi-private terrace was lovely in warmer weather. There are two apartments on that floor, with a partition between their terrace areas, and sharing it wasn’t an issue for us. It had beautiful purple rain flowers around it, with mountain views. The shared garden has a little playhouse, slide and swings that our kids loved, and there’s plenty of private parking on the property. They provide filtered drinking water, shampoo and body wash. Eirini also gave us suggestions for places to visit. There’s no washing machine, but laundry service is available, and there’s no bidet. Wifi was weak in some spots. It worked by the kitchen sink and under the TV, and was strongest on the terrace. The bed and pillows were comfortable and we slept well, so the stay was relaxing. When we left, Christina gave us freshly baked cookies, red eggs for Easter, and some lavender. We’d go back, hopefully when the weather is nice enough to enjoy the terrace. The shower gel was maaaarvelous! The studios are clean, nicely designed, and conveniently placed for visiting the whole island.
