The beach is just a few steps away, and Chania’s centre is an easy walk from this beautiful location. Our suite was spacious and cosy, with the basic appliances we needed. The owners were helpful and the atmosphere was really relaxed. For the quality and price, it seems like a very reasonable choice. As long as you’re expecting ***hotel-standard service rather than champagne and fireworks at reception or a qualified room service, I think you’ll be satisfied.

Our room was basically in the basement, and there was fungus in the AC unit as well as bugs. It was dirty, and the toilet was broken. We told the owner, who already knew about it, but she refused to fix it because someone before us had broken it. We’d paid upfront, which was our mistake, so we had no toilet in the room. Several things were missing too: an iron, a hair dryer, cable TV, and enough kitchen equipment. There was a small TV with spider webs behind it, and just one large spoon plus a few kitchen tools and plates. When I brought up the basement room, the owner said something insulting to me in Greek, though I don’t know the insult. We didn’t think this kind of service was possible and strongly don’t recommend the place. People spoke English when they wanted our money, but seemed not to understand when there was a problem. Stay away.

The pool was wonderful for the kids, and the music was great. We had a super holiday here, with excellent service and extremely welcoming, helpful hosts. It’s right by a fantastic beach.
