The pools at Stellina Village were a lovely place to spend time, and the beach is just a short walk away. This was my second stay here, and it still feels like paradise, with a relaxed atmosphere, kind staff, and plenty of good food. Our room had a small kitchenette and a fridge. It was also easy to catch a bus into Chania and explore the old city, with lots to see and do.

The beach was amazing, only a stone's throw from the hotel. Back at the hotel, the all-inclusive food was tasty and varied, and the themed evenings added to the fun. Everything was spotless and the service was flawless. I couldn't have asked for a better stay.

We stayed for seven days and found plenty of variety at the buffet, with different food throughout the week and lots of choice. The rooms are large and the staff are friendly. There are three swimming pools, plus a separate kids' pool. Getting to the beach is easy, and there's also a bus stop and parking nearby.

We had a wonderful week here. The pools were a highlight: there are three, with plenty of sunbeds, and we could always find shade or sun depending on what we wanted and the time of day. Families clearly enjoy the place, with lots of happy laughter and play, and even though we came without children, we liked sharing the area with them. Breakfast was amazing, with loads of choices including local specialties. We didn't book all-inclusive, so breakfast was the only buffet we tried. The room and other facilities were very clean. The location has its convenient and more remote sides. The nearest beach is visible as you leave the property, and three others are within a 10-15 minute walk. We always found somewhere to swim even when red flags were up along other parts of the coast. Bus 21 gets to Chania in 10-15 minutes, or you can walk along the shore in about 45 minutes. There are some really good restaurants nearby, but if you want a wider choice, you may need to walk 15-20 minutes since the hotel is on the edge of Apostoli.

We had a really enjoyable week at Stellina Village from 5th-12th July 2025, staying in a 2 bedroom junior suite. The welcome from everyone we met, especially the hotel staff, showed us what people mean by Greek hospitality. The hotel is well placed for getting into Chania. There's a coastal path behind the beach, and walking takes about 30 minutes; the bus takes 5 minutes and runs every 20 minutes until 11pm. Nearby beaches have soft sand, warm water, cafes and sunbeds, and are between 2 and 15 minutes away on foot. The closest one was good enough for me, so I didn't feel much was gained by walking further. I think Crete's more famous beaches are much nicer, though. Chania comes alive after dark. We went three nights to have dinner and explore, including the back streets and alleyways. On our last day we hired a boat, no license needed, and found incredible secluded coves for swimming and snorkeling. That was a major highlight. The rooms were excellent: spotless and cleaned daily, with very comfortable king beds, blackout blinds, aircon in every room including the lounge and kitchen, a well-equipped small kitchen, a decent-sized fridge, espresso machine, balcony, and separate terrace with an outdoor dining table and umbrella. The bathroom was modern and luxurious, with a great shower. A few things looked older, including one aircon machine, the fridge, and some fixtures in our apartment, but the rooms were clearly well maintained and otherwise looked very up to date. There are three pools. The middle Village pool was the busiest and noisiest, with the most kids and music from the bar. The other two were quieter. The Royal pool was probably the nicest and mostly had adults, though we also spent quite a bit of time at the Suites pool. If you want four sunbeds together in a prime spot, you have to play the towel game at 7am. There were always some free beds later, just not many at the middle pool. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection, with tables by the pool. The onsite mini market was useful, and a local supermarket had the same prices. We liked the food at Helios restaurant, with generous portions and reasonable prices, as we found everywhere in Crete. The pool bar made really good fresh coffee, and there were thoughtful little touches like chilled beer glasses. The hotel staff were great whenever anything was missing, and the place is clearly run very well. My few minor gripes: the games room needs a new pool table, no water was offered with the massage, there was no cheese grater in the kitchen, and fresh coffee at buffet breakfast would be better than machine coffee. We had a wonderful time at Stellina and I'd happily recommend it.
