The food and service were generally strong, and the resort was nice overall, with some exceptional staff and great food. But the service could be very inconsistent depending on where you were. Since we visited early in the season, I can understand there might be training or staffing issues. Still, one awful experience and promises that weren't kept really spoiled it for us. We spent 5 nights in early May, as a birthday treat over the May Bank Holiday, after booking all 5 of our holidays for the year because we wanted to try the IKOS brand. At the buffet one evening, a server had already brought us wine and water, then topped up another guest in the adult area and accidentally overlooked us. We waited quite a while with empty glasses and tried to catch his eye without pestering him. When I eventually got his attention, he raised his voice and said he'd serve me shortly. Maybe that would've been understandable if I'd been making a fuss. When he brought our drinks, he said in a very passive-aggressive way, "I seem to have upset you." I hadn't shown any emotion, but the remark and his manner caught me off guard. I felt humiliated and we left quickly. It just happened to be my birthday. After check-out, we found damage to the wing mirror on our hire car. There was no glass or debris, and the damaged remnants and missing cover had been cleared away. A staff member was with us when we found it. He was very helpful and promised to check the security footage and get back to us. We were £1k out of pocket, though I accept that responsibility is ours, but we never got the promised follow-up or footage. I don't blame the hotel for the damage, but it would've been good to hear back. Would we visit IKOS again? I'm not sure.

This was our 11 th stay at ikos Dassia, and they welcomed us back like friends. We simply love coming here. It's a true gem, made special by the amazing staff, and we'll be back. The grounds and setting are stunning, with gorgeous pools and beach. Rooms are so comfortable that a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Staff are attentive to every need, and the food is delicious. The all-inclusive selection of food and drinks is amazing, including a wide wine selection and à la carte dining based on Michelin star menus. There are water sports, tennis, classes, live shows, and musical entertainment. A courtesy bus goes to Corfu town and the sister resort at ikos Odisia. An e mini driving experience is also included for a day of your stay. There's a full range of spa treatments, a gym, and indoor pools too, handy if the weather is temperamental.

You could spend a whole week at Ikos Resort without needing to go anywhere else. There’s a huge range included, from food and drinks, room service and airport transfers to a day’s car rental, a sunset cruise, paddle boats, canoes, tennis, table tennis and bike rentals. They also have sports classes, live music and theater shows. The sea view, with mountains behind it, is amazing.

I had the most relaxing week of my life and enjoyed every minute. The staff were so helpful and friendly, and the food was exceptional. The cleaning could have been better. Once I found a wet, dirty cloth that smelled bad on our coffee table. We also lost power a couple of times, though that can happen on an island. The following year we went to Ikos Olivia. I think Dassia is much better.

The Heroes Club was a real highlight for us. We visited during a quieter period, and Eirini and her team were wonderful with the children, putting on fun activities and showing them so much care. They looked after my child warmly enough that I could take a breather and deal with changing rooms without worrying too much. The childcare team were the heroines of our stay. The splash park was also a hit, and my child loved the swimming lesson I booked. When the weather cooperated, the early evening kids disco was fun too. I booked this premium hotel for my first holiday after lockdown and my first solo trip with a small child, so I had high hopes. The room problems made for three nights of poor sleep during our five-night stay. We arrived late and, despite discussing my needs with the hotel in advance, were put on the fourth floor in a room with a balcony and broken air conditioning. The team moved us to a ground-floor room the next day, but its AC was faulty too, rattling even when switched off. Reception and maintenance weren't clear with each other, and I had to chase updates. Management eventually spoke to me, apologised and gave us a partial refund, which I appreciated. There were plenty of lovely staff as well. Argiro, my food concierge, arranged our restaurant bookings and made sure halal food was available. The chefs often prepared fresh meals when we arrived, which made a big difference. Maria at the beach bar helped us find our way around when we were lost, and Emma always smiled when she passed guests. The spa manager was kind too, even though I couldn't get the niche treatment I was interested in. The resort itself has the facilities you'd expect from a premium place, and the setting right on the beach overlooking the Ionian Sea is breathtaking. I would still recommend Ikos Dassia despite the room issues. I hope management considers a five-day working week for the staff, who work incredibly hard and deserve time to rest and see their families.
