Averto Corfu Apartments

We felt right at home during our week at Averto Apartments in Corfu. Giorgo and Marina, the owners, were so welcoming, and the whole staff were warm and sincere, which made the stay really enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and we liked the service at the bar too. We’d definitely like to come back. Thanks for everything.

Marina was so caring and sweet. She stayed up and kept in touch with us until we reached the apartment at 1 am, and we felt safe the whole time we were there. The studio and its surroundings were beautiful, and the service was great. There are lots of water activities nearby, and the beach and jet ski club are about a 10-15 minute walk away.

We didn’t have some basic cooking supplies in the room, like salt, pepper and oil. Adding those would make it perfect. Still, we had a great stay, thanks to Marina and her kind staff. The pool is quite big and clean, and there are places near the hotel to rent a car, get groceries or eat. Stathis runs a really nice bar. He’s lovely, and we enjoyed winding down there at the end of the day. He also gave us free advice on things to visit in Corfu. Thanks for all the kindness, we’ll come back next year. The owners were very helpful, gave us vegetables, fruit and wine, and answered our questions in good English. They also pointed me to a very good seafood taverna. There’s parking on the property, with some shaded spots, as well as a pool and bar. We could cook in the apartment, which had everything we needed. Across the road there’s a shop with fresh fruit and vegetables, and a grocery and souvenir shop is about five minutes away on foot. Nearby is a sandy beach close to the Ikos and Malibu hotels. We visited more than a dozen beaches around the island, and this one was the best for families with children: the beach and shallow entry are sandy, and there are no waves.
