The sandy stretch of Dassia Beach feels special, with big trees giving natural shade right on the sand. The sea is warm and clear, and the seabed stays sandy. The water is calm and shallow for a long way, so young kids can safely play and swim. There’s a shower too. Over on the right, the beach turns pebbly, with sunbeds and plenty of bars and restaurants for food and drinks. You can also hire SUP boards and pedal boats or try other water activities, making it easy to spend a relaxed day by the sea.

There isn’t much room on this narrow beach, and fine pebbles cover most of it. By the Ikos hotel it opens up, with sandy patches and some natural shade. The sea is warm, calm and mostly shallow, so it’s suitable for swimming. There are plenty of restaurants right along the waterfront too.

Our favourite beach so far. It’s a gorgeous pebble shore, and just a short walk into the water brings you to a smooth sandy bottom. The bay is calm and sheltered, great for little ones. There are lots of places right by the water to get a refreshing drink.

I wouldn’t really call it a beach. It’s just a narrow strip of pebbles between the sea and a concrete path. The only decent beach areas belong to the two Ikos hotels. They’re beautiful, but you can’t use them unless you’re staying at one of the hotels.

There were cigarette ends and plastic caps scattered around the stones. Sunbed prices depend on where you choose to lie down. We paid €15 for two outside “Latadiktia” at the end of September. You can use the cafe’s toilet and WiFi, and order from the cafe using a QR code. It was neither bad nor good.
