Galini Hotel

The room was spacious, the AC powerful, and when the weather cooperated, the sea view was nice. But breakfast was so limited that it was hard to find something to eat. Also, loud music from the club beside the balcony went on until 4 a.m.

The bathroom was decent, with good pressure and hot and cold water working properly. But a vent between two bathrooms carried every sound from the other one. We also had to leave the key at reception, which felt strange, especially since the hotel has a master key and can open the door at any time. The doors seemed easy to break into too, with a good kick below the knob. I understand people lose keys, but plastic cards would be cheaper and easier to manage than the old metal magnetic kind. The mini fridge was unplugged when we arrived, so check that it's on before buying anything cold. The AC couldn't keep the room even cool, and it shut off when we left because it ran on the room key. After a hot day outside, coming back to a cool room wasn't possible, which made the stay uncomfortable. Breakfast was okay for what they offered, but there wasn't much. For the price, the hotel is fair and works for a quick night. Next time we're in the area, we'll stay somewhere else.

The rooms are roomy and clean, though they could use some updating, and the shower is small. The mattress, though, is hard as a rock. It's 5 a.m. and I'm still awake because the bed is so uncomfortable. I've stayed in lots of hotels around Greece, and this is easily the worst bed I've had. If you want an extremely firm mattress, this might suit you. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't come back.

We stay here often when visiting Itea, and for a 3-star hotel it's a very good choice. The hotel faces the sea, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Restaurants, cafes, and other nice spots around the city are within walking distance. Breakfast has fruit, eggs, cheese, yogurt, tea, coffee, and more. It's served on the top floor, where you can enjoy a wonderful sea view. The owners are friendly and always ready to help with whatever we need. We recommend it!
