Kelari Studios

Really nice place.

Close to the sea.

The host was kind, but that was the only real positive. The room was cold when we arrived, and the air conditioner didn't work. They turned on the radiator later, which warmed it enough, but the room should already be warm for arriving guests, especially with snow outside. It wasn't very clean either, with dust and lint in the corners, and the mattress was unacceptable. Breakfast was a letdown: stale bread, factory-style jams, no butter, and just two eggs. Honestly, it would've been better to have no breakfast at all. There's a lot that still needs work.

I've stayed here for three years, so I can compare this recent visit with the earlier ones. My expectations were low. At first, it was generally decent for the price and what was offered, though my room was a bit dirty and the breakfast felt quite heavy for a foreigner. This year was a different story: no standards, no consistency, and filthy. Three times I pointed out what looked like mouse droppings, and nobody came to clean them up. Breakfast was served at 9, even though we'd asked if it could be a little earlier so we wouldn't lose time as tourists. The place has really been left to slide. With no awareness of the problems, nothing is going to improve. As a last resort, I'd suggest pitching a tent on the beach or outside Amfissa instead. I respect every effort, restaurant, and professional, but this felt deliberate. You wrote people off and didn't notice. Now you should think again.
