Everything went very well.

So far, everything's been great!

The view is the villa's best feature. The rest felt old, broken, dirty, and neglected, and the online photos did not match what we found. The pool filter was broken, the outdoor furniture was dirty and rusty with torn cushions, and the table was in poor shape too. The washing machine did not work. Bathrooms were dirty, moldy, and damaged, including a cracked shower tray, and the drains smelled. The indoor seating was stained. There was no dishwasher, and the house had woodlice, ants, and other vermin. They threaten fines if you leave without cleaning, but all we found was a street broom, with no kitchen towels, brush, or scrub brush. There was just one roll of toilet paper, so we bought more ourselves. Each person had one large and one small towel, so bring your own if you plan to go to the beach. Housekeeping only cleans two sun loungers when there are two guests. The man came onto the grounds every day without being invited. He also entered the building while I was away, and I eventually had to stop him. It felt like he was keeping an eye on us, which was very uncomfortable. We booked through a travel agency in England, not privately. Once the cancellation period had passed, we were told to send copies of our identification documents to England or we'd have problems checking in. At 150 euros a day, this place isn't worth the money, maybe 50 euros at most. You can't just rip off tourists, some money needs to go back into the property. I won't return.

A private pool and air conditioning make this villa in the hills of Rethymnon a lovely place to relax. The panoramic view across the bay is beautiful. In short, bliss.
