The snowy mountain views were great, and Delphi and Araxova are just a few minutes away. The place itself was warm and cozy.

Lovely in winter and summer.

We paid quite a lot for two days, and the stay didn’t match what we’d been told to expect. On the phone, the hostess said this kind of accommodation was hard to find in Arachova and that the facilities were worth the price. She also mentioned a breakfast basket and wine. I won’t comment on the basket. The room was hot downstairs but freezing upstairs. When we asked about it, she came over, said it might need airing, and opened things up. That should have been done before guests arrived. She said it would soon be an “oven,” but after it snowed, the upstairs got even colder and nothing changed. We woke up feeling almost sick, with icy walls. Water was running in the attic, and we were told the snow had melted. That was unacceptable. There was no soundproofing, so we could hear everything from the rooms next door. The bathroom ventilation was so cold it was hard to stand there. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hostess was kind, so one star for that. The rest was nothing special. For €200 a night for a couple, we got room-for-rent style amenities like something from Oropos in 1970, which was unacceptable. Heating, Wi-Fi, TV, and breakfast were effectively nonexistent. The layout made no sense: there was a fireplace beside the double bed while guests sat in the living room, and the TV was in the bedroom. The furniture all looked left over from a forgotten decade.
