Melistas Rooms

The rooms are nice, and from the second floor you can see the sea too.

We had a lovely sea-facing room, with a stunning view. Sitting quietly on the balcony with a book, we could hear only the birds and the sea. Inside, it was spacious, clean, and had the basics for a comfortable stay, including a small fridge, AC, and TV. The owners were kind and showed us around the room; they also spoke English very well. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby. I highly recommend Hotel Melistas.

A good deal for a simple room close to the water.

The beds were comfortable, and both the bathroom and sheets were very clean. There was also a kettle or similar device for boiling water, plus glasses for water and coffee if you bring your own. The people working there who we saw were kind and polite, though we didn't ask them for anything. The place was very quiet, right across from the sea, and things went smoothly. It's a bit far from civilization, but there's a mini market and a tavern just below, so the essentials are close by. Two things let us down. The dusty, very old-looking blankets seemed as if they hadn't been washed, and because I'm allergic to dust I had an asthma attack. The rug on the floor also affected my rating. We were four people but had only one shampoo and shower gel set. I'd return, though I'd hope things were a little more organized. The location feels peaceful and makes a convenient base for exploring the surrounding area.
