We were in room 30 for 5 nights, and the owners and their family were so friendly and happy to help. They had a laugh and a joke with us, and my Harry Potter tattoo even got a funny conversation going about making themed cocktails. On arrival, the owner kindly gave us complimentary water after our long journey. The food was 10/10, with generous portions and really affordable prices. There are plenty of shops and bars nearby, plus a supermarket. It’s a 15 minute walk to the main strip, and there’s a local bus stop too. I’d recommend the bus to Old Town, about half an hour and €2.50 each way per person. The main downside was the shower. It leaked, didn’t drain properly, and the shower head wouldn’t stay on the wall, so I had to hold it. The shower curtain didn’t fit properly, so water ended up on the floor, and the base drained too slowly. Still, it could have been much worse. Air conditioning cost €8 a night. It wasn’t very powerful, but moving the beds directly underneath helped us sleep in the heat. There was only 1 pillow per bed, though I’m sure they’d provide an extra if asked. Free WIFI was a plus. If you’re after a budget holiday, I’d recommend giving it a go. It’s cheap and cheerful, with everything you need around you.
