Betty Apartments

The rooms in Drios were very nice and cost less than many apartments. Staff were friendly and flexible about arrival times. When we really needed it, they arranged a ride to the port for less than the taxi fare. The apartments were cleaned daily, which was great, and Golden Sands beach and a smaller pebble beach were close by. One thing to plan for: if you’re taking the Hellenic ferry, arrange a hired ride, since the buses don’t always get you there in time. I highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Sifnos.

Drios is a small, relaxing place, with a supermarket, good restaurants, beaches, and bus stops nearby. We stayed five nights and really enjoyed it. The room was comfortable and clean, with what we needed to make simple meals. We were lucky to get a jar of Betty’s homemade jam. So good! There’s a lovely garden out back, full of different trees and plants. Ask Petros for a tour. Thanks, Betty and Petros, for a great stay. The photo is of sunrise at the nearby beach.

Drios is a small town with seven places to eat. The grill house was easily the best value, and its kebab meze was lovely. If you’re in Paros, a trip to Antiparos is a must. It’s a beautiful island. Our apartment was excellent, with lots of space and a balcony that got plenty of early morning sun. The kitchen was basic but had what we needed for a short stay. Betty, the owner, was lovely and brought us fresh grapes and figs each day.

Mrs Betty was polite and very helpful, and our balcony had nice views. The apartment had lots of room for our family, and Dryos was a pleasant base with plenty of amenities and a reasonable distance from Paros’s main attractions.
