Yorgos, amazing sunset view house

Giorgos and his family made us feel so welcome. He greeted us on arrival and stayed available on WhatsApp throughout the visit. He was friendly and offered help whenever he could. At our request, he suggested places to eat in Kos town and a good place to park, which we used most days. Even though the apartment is part of their property, the family never came around the back, so it felt like our own private space. The views from the hilltop were stunning, including Kos town, other parts of the island, other Greek islands, and Turkey. We never got tired of them, especially at sunset. The apartment is at the back of Giorgos' house/villa, with its own outside doors. It was spotless and had the basics. Since last year, a pool has been added and the two single beds replaced with a king size bed. Giorgos also left a complimentary bottle of wine, a 6 pack of bottled water, and some fruit, which was especially appreciated on a Sunday when most shops were shut. Make sure to hire a car. The place is reached by a private road up a steep hill, I’d guess at least a 20% incline, and you’ll want to use 1st gear. It’s a peaceful place to stay. Thanks, Giorgos!

There’s no TV, which made it easy to disconnect from the crazy world and fully relax. The internet was very good, and there was plenty of room to park in the yard. Giorgos needs to show you the way because this is a new hill area. Everything was spotless, from the bath linens to the very soft, fresh-smelling, ironed Greek cotton towels. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed, the bath had a zen style, and the small olive tree garden sits in front of the terrace. Each little detail seemed chosen with taste, and the view over all of Kos is breathtaking. It’s surrounded by pure nature. Water in the fridge and a basket of fruit were a lovely extra. We’re already planning to return, and it seems like a good place for people coming to Kos for business, too.

The city and harbor look breathtaking from here. Bring binoculars!

The owner is super friendly, and the place is kept very clean and well maintained. The view is amazing.
