We’d happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Edessa. The location is ideal, within walking distance of the town centre, with a quiet, peaceful feel at night and a parking area available. Our room was spacious and lovely, with a comfortable bed, beautiful furniture and excellent amenities, including Wi-Fi, a beverage tray and toiletries. Everything was kept very clean and tidy, and the towels were changed daily. The staff were welcoming, professional, polite and friendly. We also enjoyed the common lounge and veranda, and the breakfast buffet.

The homemade breakfast was delicious, and the reception staff were so kind. They also had the story of the house and its restoration, which made the family run hotel feel even more special. The architecture and interior style, along with the name Varosi, brought to mind old Bulgarian homes and neighbourhoods from the Bulgarian revival period. There’s a huge lobby with a fireplace and a view over the valley, and an ancient defence wall right under your feet. Our room was very clean, with an unusual but lovely mix of forged iron, knitted curtains, wooden furniture, soft duvet covers and pillows, and distinctive lamps. A unique place with excellent restoration.

I really appreciate this little piece of Heaven. The outside doesn’t look very good, and at first my wife was skeptical, but little by little we liked the place more and more. It was like a fairy tale, something magi with its Landlord of Macedonian origin from The Alexander the Great. This is real Macedonia, not what Tito pretended years ago. It seems like the story of the Jewish people, that never belonged to Jerusalem. In the Bible is written about Jesus the Palestinian not the Jew. Thank you all.

We arrived late without a reservation and were lucky to get the last room in the house. It was small, but just right, and cost 75 euros with an incredible breakfast buffet for both of us. The hotel feels like a modern castle, with rooms made to look as if they belong to another time. Everything was perfectly clean and tidy. It’s a cozy, traditional place in a cozy, traditional town, and the waterfalls are only a three minute walk away. We loved everything about it.
