Hotel Elafonisos

After the ferry was badly delayed, we arrived around 8 to find the place deserted, with two other couples waiting outside. About ten minutes later, a man showed up to check us in. He couldn't find my booking and asked if we were sure we had the right place. I said yes, then showed him the phone number I had booked with. He recognized it as his mother's number. He said we could stay in one room and then move to another. That set off alarm bells, so we went somewhere else. After reading the reviews, I'm very glad we moved and would advise others to avoid this hotel.

I was just disappointed with the room. It was already too small for two people, but they squeezed in another bed and called it a three-person room. The closet was broken, bare wires were visible on the wall, and the balcony was dirty, with very old furniture and no pillows. They say every room has Wi-Fi, but it only worked at reception. I don't recommend it at all.

I've been visiting Elafonisos for 12 years, and this was the worst place I've stayed, even though it's in a good location. The rooms feel like they're from another decade, and you can hear a lot of noise from other guests and staff. The fridge was small, and the A/C was in really bad shape. On top of that, the owner was rude and arrogant. I wouldn't recommend it.

Being right on the beach was a real highlight, and we were also close to what we thought was the best restaurant in Elafonisos. We had a very pleasant stay.
