Luxury Villa Margarita

We were eight friends at Villa Margarita for a week, and it was a stay we won’t forget. The villa looks even more breathtaking in person than in the already beautiful photos. Outside, there’s a huge private pool with two showers and a bathroom, plus a spacious BBQ area with an outdoor kitchen and fridge. The views are amazing. Inside, the rooms are stylish and roomy. The villa was cleaned during our week, and we got fresh towels, which was a big plus. The hosts are a lovely, kind and helpful family. They shared good places to eat, stayed available on WhatsApp if anything came up, and treated us warmly throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a better place in Crete. Highly recommend!

There’s nothing missing from the fully equipped house, and the rooms have A/C. Michael and the team have thought of everything. The outdoor space works perfectly for a large group, especially the shaded BBQ area that keeps the sun’s heat off. We loved the ecological pool and its open views of the mountains and sea. The hosts responded quickly to questions or small issues, and were happy to help. Plenty of good restaurants are nearby, and the beach is less than 15 minutes away. Just perfect.

We arrived very late, but the owners had left us a welcome pack, so there was no need to head straight to the supermarket. They were charming, and we couldn’t fault anything about the villa. We stayed at Villa Margharita for a week in early August 2020, eight of us aged 16 to 62, and it was ideal for a group. The elevated spot brought a lovely breeze at any time of day, with beautiful views. The design is lovely, and there’s loads of outdoor space, including separate areas and a shaded dining spot with an outdoor kitchen. Inside, the open-plan kitchen stays cool and connects to a sitting area overlooking the garden, pool and distant mountains. The fittings were top quality, and the furniture indoors and out was very comfortable. The area isn’t touristy, and we enjoyed a couple of good, well-priced meals at the local tavernas in Stamnoi.

The teens had a great time in the cinema and games room, as well as the indoor gym. We often decided to eat in because cooking was such a pleasure in the lovely kitchen, which had everything we needed and plenty of extras. The wine cooler was a favorite! Villa Margarita was a perfect family holiday spot. Bedrooms were comfortable with high-quality linens, and there were luxurious bathrooms on every floor, even outside. The ground-floor jacuzzi tub was fab. We had a great stay and would love to return.
