Atlantica Grand Mediterraneo Resort - Adults Only

The food had plenty to choose from, though the seafood wasn’t as tasty as we’d hoped. Most of the evening entertainment was very good, usually relaxed, classy music, and one bartender had an incredible voice. We enjoyed this as a couples holiday. The hotel felt inclusive to couples from all walks of life, with a few groups of friends and older families too. Staff were friendly, our room was perfect, and the secluded setting came with a private beach and loungers. We could request buggy rides to our room, and Casandra did a brilliant job organizing the day activities. There were buses to the Old Town, plus other ways to get around the island.

The room had everything I needed, including a lovely big balcony. It was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and good restocking. The grounds were tidy and well cared for, and everyone on staff was polite, friendly, and attentive. It’s remote, as the website says, so it suited me perfectly for a quiet, relaxing week. The hotel was clean and lovely, and the food tasted great and was laid out nicely. It could have been hotter, but that’s just a suggestion, not a complaint. I’ve just come back from a lovely week and will definitely return. 🥰

The wedding was spectacular, and we’re still grateful to Kostas and Eleni from Guest Relations for making it so special. They handled every detail and kept communication excellent throughout. The setup was far beyond what we imagined. We paid extra for an arch and flowers, but if we’d known how beautiful everything would be, we wouldn’t have bothered. There were flowers and white sashes on the balcony, while the simple tables and chairs let the views shine. Staff were so attentive before the ceremony, and they clapped and cheered when I arrived at reception in my dress. They helped with everything, whether or not we were the bridal party. One wedding choice I’d change is paying for Greek dancers as evening entertainment. They performed around four songs and then left. The next morning, people from my party saw some of the “dancers” wearing hotel uniforms. We had a brilliant time afterward with just a mobile phone, a big Bluetooth speaker, and a decent Spotify playlist. It was perfect. We stayed in a sea view room with a pool. It was beautiful, though a few fixtures looked tired: the shower gel dispensers leaked and there was the odd broken floor tile. The cleaning team was thorough and sometimes came twice in one day, which we hadn’t expected. The rooms were comfortable and spotless, with amazing views across the Ionian Sea. The location and sunsets were breathtaking, and the whole resort felt peaceful and romantic, surrounded by nature. Everyone around the resort was welcoming and helpful, and the buggy drivers deserve a special mention. They helped with our luggage, ferried me and the bridal party on the wedding day, and even taught me Greek on the rides between our pickup point and reception. The food was excellent with lots of daily choice, and the restaurants and bars were great. Genaro and Darlena at the Eros bar were funny, friendly, and made every evening better. The place was so well organized, and we’d absolutely return. We’re already looking at booking again. I’d recommend heading to the beach for a skippered boat trip or hiring a kayak or paddle board.

A beautiful, relaxed setting and good activities rounded out a great stay. The staff were very friendly, and the food was incredible, though at times there seemed almost too much of it. Kassandra, the fitness trainer, was professional and motivating. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at, and I’d book it again whenever we want a relaxing holiday.
