Pefkakia Park

Ermopouli felt like a great base for Syros, with reasonable prices, incredible food, and a relaxed vibe. For me, it's ideal for up to four nights. There are quite a few steps between PP and the front, though that's common around here. The family were top-class hosts, and the price was very reasonable. Both rooms were bright and comfortable, with sea views, and the top-floor one also looked toward Ano Syros. Everything we needed was supplied, including aircon. We knew ahead of time that we'd have to switch rooms on our last day, so it wasn't an issue. The second room seemed bigger, and its shower room definitely was. In the top-floor room, the shower room and toilet were cramped, even though my wife and I aren't big people. Apart from that, it was brilliant for the rate. Giannis picked us up at the ferry port, and we felt right away that we'd found a great guesthouse.

The view from my room stretched 270° across the ocean and hills, and I woke up to one of the most incredible panoramic sunrises I've ever seen. The room itself was clean, lovely, and comfortable. Giannis was so welcoming that I'd give him 50 stars if I could. It may be the warmest stay I've had at a hotel or inn. I hope to return to the Cyclades, and I'll definitely stay here again.

Coffee and cake each morning turned into a lovely chance to chat and share stories with the owner and his mother. When we first arrived, the owner welcomed us warmly, sat down with a city map, and gave us great advice on getting around, sights, beaches, and restaurants. Our stay was so good that if we're ever in the area again, I wouldn't look anywhere else.

We had a refurbished, well-equipped room with a huge bed and a lovely view from the rooftop. The hosts were wonderful, and Giannis gave us a lift to the port and picked us up again. Syros town is a beautiful Chora, and Pefkakia Park makes a great base.
