Nikos and his brother made us feel very welcome. They’re gentlemen, lifelong island residents, and fluent in English when helping guests. They answered all our questions and offered suggestions for beaches, places to eat, shop, and visit. You could tell they cared, and they helped with anything we needed. The room was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed. It was sparkling clean, the shower had great pressure, and all amenities were included. The strong air conditioning was especially welcome after a day in the sun. Hotel Halaris (Xalaris) is a beautiful building, entirely made of marble, with a royal-palace look and an elegant, historical feel. Inside, everything was clean, bright, and updated. It was also so convenient for getting around Syros. The port is only a five-minute walk away, though we took a taxi with luggage for three. Once there, we didn’t need one. We walked to the port shops for gifts, treats, and other items, and the bus to upper syros picked us up just a minute from the hotel. I recommend staying at Hotel Halaris. It was comfortable and beautiful, and I’ll definitely return. It’ll be our home in Syros.

There’s a lovely view of Ano Syros from the room, and parking was easy to find. The location is very central, and I felt safe with the 24-hour reception and entry code. The room was spotless, with fresh towels and room service every day.

Supermarket, bank, food, and transportation are all close by. The place was incredibly clean, with daily cleaning, and the staff were very kind and ready with information. I was very pleased.

The location made it easy to get around Ermoupolis, with the port, mini bus stop, coffee shops, supermarkets, and center all nearby. It was also right by the Turkish delights I love! The cleanliness was impeccable. The owners were smiling and polite, and the staff were very kind. They told us everything we needed to know. Thank you so much for everything!

We had a very pleasant, quiet stay in spacious, comfortable rooms that were cleaned daily. The owners were friendly and professional, and the distance to all the points of interest was ideal.
