The owner was very hands-off. My room was quiet and near the beach, and I enjoyed staying at Ilios Hotel. There were a few rough edges: the sink leaked, there was some mold in the bathroom, and the kitchen was a bit janky. A good option if you don't need a fancy place.

Maria treated me like family, and I loved our coffees and conversations. She’s so kind and helpful, and I can see why guests keep coming back. I’ll certainly return too. Merci beaucoup Maria. The family pension is in a great spot, with a partial sea view from the second floor. The air conditioning worked perfectly without being noisy, and everything was clean and quiet. The beds and cushions were brand new.

I stayed for one night on a motorbike road trip around Crete. Maria was lovely and went out of her way to answer my questions, checking online and asking friends when she wasn’t sure. The accommodation was great, and I believe it’s the cheapest option around Neo Kalamaki. The location is excellent, just 50 meters from the center.

Good value for money in a convenient spot near the beach. The rooms are simple and very clean, and the owners are friendly and accommodating. Most rooms have two balconies, so there’s always somewhere to get out of the sun.
