Golden Sun in Falasarna had such a peaceful, harmonious feel, and we fell in love with the place. The hosts were kind and welcoming, making us feel at home. The view is breathtaking too. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to return again and again. 💛

I spent two weeks at Golden Sun in September 2025, and it was a really memorable stay. The owners gave me useful tips on places to visit around the island, and the location is fantastic, with one of Crete’s most beautiful beaches within walking distance. It felt like being part of a family there. I was in the older apartments in the main building. The room met my expectations, with two beds, a dining table, and a kitchen area with a refrigerator, cooking panel and other basics, so I could make my own meals if needed. There was also breakfast downstairs. My room had a large balcony with a nice view, and there was plenty of parking for rental cars. I got a very low price through Booking, which made me happy. I’d recommend staying here if you’re on Crete’s west coast.

We stayed for a week from Oct.3rd 25. There were new born lambs nearby, a beautiful beach close by, and our double room was quiet. The hosts were warm, friendly people, and they changed our towels and sheets every 3 days. We recommend staying here.

The balcony view is unforgettable, and the hotel had clean, comfortable rooms with a warm, relaxing atmosphere. We felt very welcome thanks to the owners, who were incredibly friendly and ready to help with anything. The beach is just a few steps away, with clear water and beautiful scenery. Definitely a place I’d recommend.

We were nine people and rented two houses for a week. They were super clean, built of stone, and came with fully equipped kitchens and washing machines. There were two balconies, great for big breakfasts or sitting back and watching the sunset. The owners were kind and always happy to help. The small supermarket is a one-minute walk away, and Falassarna beach is five minutes on foot. One of my best holiday choices, fully recommended.
