Anaxo Resort

During our two-month trip around Europe, Anaxo Resort was the best experience we had. The property and surrounding area were beautiful, and the rooms were great and consistently clean. The staff were welcoming and always on hand to help. Athina, the owner’s daughter, was especially caring and attentive. I’d definitely recommend Anaxo to anyone looking for a place to stay.

The views were great, and the room patio was okay, but there wasn’t much else I liked. Some photos are definitely misleading. The room had no tea, coffee or mini bar, even though it had a fully equipped kitchen, which seemed odd. The lighting was quite dim, and the bathroom felt like a two-star hotel. Breakfast was good, but the automatic coffee machine was only available in the morning. The reception was dark with the blinds shut, and there was nobody at the pool bar, which seemed basically closed. I saw just one staff member the whole time, a sweet young receptionist who did a great job. The place just didn’t have any heart, soul or sense of experience. It felt more like a plain timeshare apartment rental than a resort, with the feel of a two-star hotel. Some two-star places even provide coffee in the room.

George, the owner, made our stay especially nice. He was welcoming and kind, always smiling, and even upgraded us to a room with a private pool. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful views and a lovely pool. Everything was clean, elegant and well maintained, and all the staff were helpful and lovely. We had a perfect stay. You’ll definitely need a car to get around.

We had a great experience at Anaxo Resort. The owner and staff were kind, attentive, and found ways to make our stay better. The property was beautiful, comfortable and clean, and it was ideally placed for exploring the Mani Peninsula.
