Anika Studios

The cats were a nice little bonus, and the team made me want to come back to Anika. We felt much calmer during the 5.8 earthquake because the staff stayed so composed. My friend and I were shaken awake and pretty frightened, as that's not something we're used to. We had a spacious balcony looking over the main pool, a decent-sized bathroom and a standard room with a comfortable bed and the basic kitchen things we needed. We didn't use the main pool, choosing the 18+ one instead, which I believe is connected to another hotel. There were plenty of different sunbeds and we never struggled to find one. The water was clean and didn't seem heavily treated. The pool bar was a highlight. The morning woman was lovely, made great cocktails and brought everything over, and the evening man was just as nice. He even gave us some drinks on the house. They really made the stay more enjoyable. The restaurant on site was beautifully decorated beside the pool, with kind service every evening and delicious, authentic food. There was a big lunch and dinner selection, more than I had time to try. The location worked well for us: about five minutes to a shop, ten to the bars and restaurants, and maybe 15-20 to the beach. I loved my time at Anika studios. Thanks to the team!

We were glad to leave after just one night, even before checkout. The room smelled horrible, like old sweat or an old yoga mat, and it wasn't clean. There was hair everywhere. We felt gross using the towels and didn't want to walk barefoot on the floor. Bugs were all over the hallways, bathroom and around the bed, and the window had no net, so mosquitoes came in. We had to open it because of the awful smell. The toilet kept running for about 15 minutes after flushing, so flushing at night meant we couldn't sleep. The shower was tiny and practically over the toilet, which felt unhygienic. On top of that, air conditioning cost another 10-12 euros, even though it's a basic need in summer. I don't get all the positive reviews. Maybe people have different standards, or maybe the reviews are manipulated. Don't make our mistake.

The food was fantastic, with big portions at reasonable prices, and we could choose between two pools. The loungers were more like sofas and really comfortable, and there was always a sunbed available. It's also about a ten-minute walk to the beach and main strip, but far enough from the nighttime music to sleep well. We stayed a week at Anika studios and were happy from the moment we arrived. It's a family-run place, with spacious, bright, clean rooms. A few drawers would have helped for a stay longer than a week. The staff were polite and left us to call them over when we wanted to order, which we preferred to being hovered over. Can't complain and we'll definitely return. Well recommended.

We had to change rooms, and the walls were dirty. The food was disgusting and undercooked. The shower was coming off the wall, and the toilet seat button was broken, so it wouldn't flush properly. Room service was basically nonexistent: in the week we were there, they never cleaned the room or emptied the bins, just tossed some sheets onto the bed. Yet they expected us to put dirty toilet paper in the bin. The drains stank, and dogs barked all night. The staff were rude and unprofessional. I was also told by a couple that they'd had to go to hospital with health issues after sleeping on a mouldy mattress for two weeks. Avoid this place if you care about your health. It felt like money-grabbing scammers, and the room looked nothing like the pictures.
