Villa Carina

The grounds are lovely, with flowers looked after, good parking, and everything kept very clean. My husband and I stayed here on vacation, and it turned out to be our favorite place. The owner was around and really attentive, and both he and the staff made us feel at home. We were greeted warmly and got lots of suggestions for places to visit. It’s calm, safe, and family friendly, just right for a quiet break.

Dimitri's hospitality made the stay unforgettable, and the setting was great for the kids to have fun outside. We’ve been to Kefallonia island many times, but choosing this spot in the southwest turned out to be our best stay yet. The location and view were lovely, and the room was very clean. We’ll definitely come back.

There’s loads of room both inside and out, with a huge garden covered in thick, carpet-like grass. Our studio had a large room, kitchen, and balcony overlooking a courtyard garden. The kitchen was already stocked with handy things like an iron, sandwich maker, and dishes, and there was a sofa bed too if a family needed extra space. Everything looked nice and was clean. Parking is in the courtyard, with space for eight cars, and Google Maps got us there easily. Villa Carina is a great choice for west Kefalonia, where the beaches are lovely and there are fewer tourists. Good tavernas are nearby, along with two beautiful sandy beaches that weren’t too crowded.

The apartments had what we needed and were clean, comfortable, and quiet, making this a lovely place to unwind as a couple or family. The owners are wonderful people and made our stay even nicer. It’s a quiet, somewhat isolated spot, but there’s still a good connection to the rest of the island: take the ferry from lixouri to reach the capital. It also works well as a base for exploring the beaches.
