The food was delicious, the rooms nicely furnished, and the pool was good. It’s only five minutes from the beach. A few things could be better: our double room had just one toilet shared by four people, the pool was so heavily chlorinated that it burned my throat when I accidentally swallowed some, and there wasn’t a kettle or clock in the room.

The staff are really friendly and do their best, and the food quality is decent for an all inclusive. The main bar is very noisy, though, so if your room is nearby, don’t expect to fall asleep before midnight. The free evening cocktails there taste a lot like paint remover. The bar by the pizza place is so-so, but the main bar is a joke. The drinks advertised in the house rules PDF and at each bar as “Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite” are extraordinarily cheap “sodas.” I’d usually expect that from an all’in, but advertising them that way feels false, and someone could even file a complaint because it’s against EU law.

There are a lot of stairs, and my mum in law struggled with them at times, though she still says she had a fab time. The rest of us had a great holiday. We came for a family wedding at a nearby villa, and the hotel was a perfect base, no more than a 10-minute walk from the beach, restaurants, bars and shops. We’d booked two double rooms for my hubby’s 81 year old mum and us. She’d expected a pokey single, so was pleasantly surprised. The beds were super comfy and changed 3 times a week, towels every couple of days. The rooms were clean, well furnished in white, with huge showers that were always hot. My hubby is a fussy eater, but there was something he liked each night. There was a huge range at dinner, with extra fish, BBQ dishes or a Cretan night on certain evenings, all fresh and plentiful. Breakfast had omelettes made fresh with your choice of fillings, plus fried eggs, bacon, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, breads, waffles, meats, cheeses and more. We skipped lunch upstairs and ate at a table in the outdoor snack area instead, with a soft or alcoholic drink and a slice or two of fresh pizza, made daily from 10.30 til 6pm. We also had ice cream, as much or as little as we fancied. Fruit juices, wine, beer, water, tea and coffee were available. The staff were attentive, polite and worked damn hard. The pool was big enough. We got sunbeds each day by getting up early, though they were usually all taken by 10am. People come and go all day, so you might still get lucky. If you enjoy all inclusive and don’t mind the stairs, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here.

The people here made the hotel for us. Reception were amazing, and the manager was so, so helpful to me and my family. Restaurant staff were kind, efficient and professional, with a very good buffet selection for everyone. The lovely cleaning ladies did a fabulous job, and the bar staff were cheerful, chatty and polite. They moved us to a room that suited my young baby better without us even asking, and there was no extra cost. I really appreciated it. Through and through, a lovely hotel with the best people.
