Ano Kampos Hotel

The hotel sits on a slope and has lovely views, and it took us about 35 minutes to walk into Faliraki, so a car could be useful for getting around. The atmosphere is very relaxed. My sister and her husband return every year, and we joined them for 10 days. Peter, Anastasia, their extended family and the other staff made us feel welcome from the first day and were always ready to help. The rooms were freshened and cleaned often by friendly, smiling staff. We ate at the hotel a few times and really enjoyed the food. The continental breakfast was generous, with plenty of breads, cheese, salami, ham, cereals, boiled and scrambled eggs, fruit, cake, yoghurt, jams, honey, tea, coffee, juice and water. I’d happily recommend Ano Kampos Hotel and plan to return.

The rooms have been beautifully renovated and the view is amazing. It’s a great place to stay, right between Rhodes center and Lindos :)

The panoramic views from this high-up spot are wow, especially at sunset. It’s a Greek studio, restaurant and bar where rustic touches meet modern ones, and the pool area is lovely. Even the toilets are nicer than in some higher-star hotels. It’s family run and very attentive without making a fuss. We’ve been back several times and they always go out of their way for us. I once mentioned a cocktail I liked, and they said they’d get the ingredients for the next day. The food is good and the drinks are great, and non-guests are welcome. The place deserves more roadside advertising. A must-go.

We spent four days here. The room was more or less clean, but it was very hot because air conditioning cost an extra 6 euros per day. We were out in the city during the day and only came back to sleep. On departure, we were told in English that we owed another 68 euros, even though I thought the only extra charge was the 12 euros for air conditioning. They said the amount was for taking too long to remove our luggage, but nobody had told us when we had to return it. I was very disappointed by the welcome and the staff’s behavior. They openly made fun of us while we were paying. I don’t recommend this place, there are much better options elsewhere.
