Dorieas Hotel - Diagoras Annex

The hotel itself is fine, with a nice pool, a restaurant, and useful tourist services such as excursions and car rental. My main issue was how clean the room was. Although it was cleaned every day after our arrival, on the first day it had a stale smell. That's inexcusable. Desks and chairs never got cleaned during our stay, so I had to wipe them with toilet paper and soap. The terrace table looked as if it hadn't been touched in ages and was so dirty I didn't even try to clean it. Towels were replaced daily, but the bed sheets weren't changed once. It felt like they didn't have enough housekeeping staff. I guess that's what you get for the low price.

The apartments in the secondary building are basic and old-fashioned, and the bathrooms aren't very functional. The main building is dated too, but has good service. There is a beautiful swimming pool, and the all-inclusive open bar is handy, though it only offers the essentials. The reception also has car and motorbike rental, plus information about excursions.

The staff were unfriendly, the food was disgusting, and we had cockroaches in the rooms. The rooms were nothing special either. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Second the world....

We had to walk a few minutes to get to the reception and restaurant, and the center of Faliraki was a bit far too. I'd take public transportation straight away. The building was somewhat dated, and the cuisine was typical foreign food, nothing special, but passable. My room was never cleaned during the week. They changed the bathroom mat every now and then, but the bathroom was always flooded. There was no closet where I could properly put my things. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, to say the least. The air-conditioning unit was mounted above the headboard, so with it on, it got cold and I'd sleep fully covered. It's a 1-star hotel.
