Gorgona Studios and Apartments

Tasos and George are both so lovely, and we had an amazing holiday. The rooms are very clean, with fresh towels and bed linen every two days. They're traditionally Greek, so don't expect a five-star room. The cocktails are amazing, and I'd definitely stay here again.

The two brothers were friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed my stay. The room had what I needed, though it would have been nice to have a TV in there. There's one at the bar. Motorcycles on the main road were a bit annoying at night, but that's Greece, enjoy.

The only charming part was the kittens living there. The accommodation looked much better in the pictures than it was in reality, and the facilities felt very poor quality. They charge by the day for air conditioning. The walls are extremely thin, so you can hear all sorts of noise from the other rooms. The kitchen is tiny, with no cooking utensils, so cooking isn't really an option. Nor is keeping food cold: the fridge keeps switching on and off. There was also a bad smell and lots of insects. It might be okay if all you plan to do is go to the beach, come back to sleep, and pay for the air conditioning. A disappointment.

It's pleasant and clean, tucked into a little garden that feels peaceful. Everything in Faliraki is within walking distance. If you're after a five-star hotel where meals are served to you, this may not be your kind of place. At the bar, you can chat with T&G, settle into one of the many comfortable chairs, seats, or loungers and watch the world go by, or simply keep cool and listen to the trees moving in the breeze. The choice is yours.
