Mon Repos Hotel

The location is handy for shops and restaurants. Most of the staff were welcoming, though not all of them made us feel that way. The family suite was disappointing and didn’t really deserve to be called a suite. It was also noisy because it faced the road, and room service wasn’t very effective.

For a budget stay, this hotel has what you need: air conditioning, a small kitchen in the room, and a nice pool if you’d rather not go to the sea. The centre and beach aren’t too far away, but the hotel is far enough from the parties to stay quiet. Everyone was very kind and helpful, and room service came every day. Breakfast was good, though the same food was served each time, so a bit more variety would be nice. There’s also a bookshelf where guests can leave a book or take one. I arranged the books by language. ☺️ I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated, but everything was clean and worked fine. Breakfast wasn’t fancy, though what they served was good. The pool had enough chairs, and the beach, shops, and restaurants were within walking distance, with a supermarket just across the street. We got great value for the price. The service was wonderful: staff were helpful when we had a problem and gave us good advice about transport and trips.

We’d booked somewhere else, but Tim found rooms for us, and we had a wonderful holiday. From the moment you come in, the place feels friendly. It’s a family-run hotel, and the family were always helpful and welcoming. Tim went through the island map with us and suggested places to visit. He and his sister always greeted us with a smile. Thanks to both of them, we’ll definitely be back. The hotel was clean, and our room was light and airy. We were room-only, but breakfast always smelled tempting. There’s a good-sized pool with plenty of loungers, tables, and chairs, plus a pool table. The entrance and foyer were very inviting and added to the hotel’s appeal.
