Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel

Let’s start with the people. Reception gave first-class help with check-in and check-out, bus times and late-checkout information, always with a smile. The staff everywhere were cheerful and greeted us as we went around the hotel. There was something to do throughout the day, including aqua aerobics, and the small water park is a great idea. We loved the cushioned loungers beside the three pools, they were so comfortable. Beach towels were provided, and there were shower rooms available after checkout. The hotel is large, so it might get busy in peak season, but our October visit was less crowded. If you want a relaxing break in a chilled atmosphere at a fantastic hotel, come here. We’re definitely returning. We enjoyed the food throughout the day. Breakfast had everything you could ask for, even onion rings. Lunch and dinner had plenty for different tastes, with fish, meats and lovely salads. The hot grill served pizza and a different special each day, such as giant prawns cooked in ouzo or excellent liver. Poolside pizza and gyros were absolutely superb too. There was a good range of drinks, from cocktails to large measures of spirits with mixers. The lager was Vap and mythros, and just right in the hot weather. Our room on the 7th floor had a great view, though I felt a little nervous looking over the balcony because it’s a long way down. It was cleaned every day to a high standard. Thank you. There’s probably more I’ve missed.

The beach is lovely with clear water, the pools are fine, and the sun loungers are very comfortable. Food was okay but nothing special. At breakfast, fresh orange juice costs €2? Otherwise the choices are fizzy drinks, watered-down orange, water or hot drinks. We didn’t find this a 5 star hotel, at least not yet. Our recently refurbished room had a poor finish, and we arrived to hairs in the sink, a dirty toilet and stains on the corridor carpets. There are just two lifts for the whole hotel. Expect to wait at breakfast, with a limit of 6 people per lift, or 4 according to the sign inside it. Most staff were fine, but when we approached them, we felt they didn’t really care about guests. The hotel could improve a lot with more time and investment in the things within its control, and better people running it. Some rooms feel basically 3 star, so they should stop claiming the hotel is 5 star.

I loved every minute at Pegasos Deluxe Beach Hotel. Dimitris was so wonderful and helpful, and all the staff were friendly and ready to assist. Our room was spacious, modern and clean, with a view over the beach. The food tasted great and there was lots of variety. The resort has plenty for both relaxing and keeping active. I especially loved the outdoor gym with its sea view, and the evening entertainment was so much fun. Wi-Fi worked reliably throughout the property and was reasonably fast.

The food choice was huge, with plenty of hot and cold drinks, desserts, and snacks like shawarma, sausages, crepes, ice cream, and waffles. We booked all-inclusive with a sea view, and the room had a small balcony looking out over the pool and sea. There are five pools, a little water park, and a private beach where guests can use the loungers and umbrellas for free. Meals never felt crowded in the large dining room. The staff were lovely and handled every request with a smile. We had a perfect stay.
