George was right on time to pick us up and made sure we had what we needed. Since we had a toddler with us, he provided beach gear like an umbrella, though the wind meant we didn’t use it, and helped us get groceries. He even brought us olive oil after we forgot it. Villa Lyra, in the Blue Harpist complex, has a stunning view over the Aegean Sea. It sits above Pori Beach, which we thought was the island’s most beautiful beach, though Fanos Beach was another favorite for our toddler. From Pori, you can take a water taxi to explore elsewhere on the island. The villa was clean and comfortable, and the setting is peaceful and relaxing. A couple of things to know if you’re traveling with a baby or toddler: it’s a bit of a hike up from the beach, and the inside stairs don’t have a gate. We blocked them with sofa cushions, which worked fine for us. It seems especially suited to couples or families with older kids. Koufonisia is magical, and Blue Harpist is a lovely place to slow down and enjoy it.

My stay at Blue Harpist Villas (Pnoe) in Koufonisi (Pori) was a major disappointment. The property seemed neglected and in bad shape, with worn flooring and dirty covers. It also looked very different from the photos online. I left after the second night because of the condition of the accommodation, and had to pay extra to stay somewhere else. When I raised the issues, management brushed them off, which made the experience even more frustrating. If you want clean, well maintained accommodation in Koufonisi, I wouldn’t choose this place.

The houses are lovely, the views are outstanding, and the people there are fantastic. Tina and the team at blue harpist have been incredibly kind and accommodating both times we’ve booked, two years in a row. Their warmth and service have really impressed us. We can’t recommend them enough.

Niki met our boat at the port and was available around the clock for questions or help with anything. We had a truly memorable stay in one of the four beautiful villas overlooking Pori Beach, which we thought was the island’s best beach. The beach views are fantastic, and it’s only a seven minute walk away. The setting is also very quiet, away from the bustle of the main town.

Quiet and grounding, with a space that feels special without trying too hard. Blue Harpist is beautiful, minimal, and elegant, and it fits so naturally with Koufonisi’s wild landscape. You can tell a lot of care went into the details. I left feeling calm and inspired, and I’m already thinking about coming back. A real gem.
