The Palm Rock Finikia Santorini

The balcony view is breathtaking, and the villa was stylish and very clean. The team stayed in touch and was really helpful throughout our visit. Staying at Palm Rock made our time on Santorini feel even better. It felt like a home away from home.

We were there for three nights and two days. The walk from the road to the house took around 3-5 minutes, and getting a transfer through the owner, Paros, went smoothly. Vasilis and Stefanos greeted us, carried our bags, and were very friendly. Vasilis also helped us sort out taxis. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. Still, this is a bare-bones place in a handy location, best suited to someone who’s fine without air conditioning. It isn’t listed as an amenity, so don’t count on having it. The bedroom areas and the separate living room and kitchen smelled strongly musty when we arrived. We opened every window that would open, plus the doors, and ran the fans. That helped in the bedrooms, but the smell stayed in the main room, so we avoided it because it was bothering our allergies. With no screens on the windows or doors, opening them also let in bugs and a stray cat. WiFi was down for almost all of our stay. The host tried to fix it, and the main router in the living area eventually worked, but we weren’t spending time there because of the smell. We had to ask for more towels, since each person had only one large and one small towel. The washer seemed to run, but everything came out soaking wet. I don’t know whether it was the machine or user error, and the dryer didn’t work at all. The place could use more upkeep. If you just want basic Airbnb accommodation without extras, the location may suit you.

You can really get a feel for the island here. It’s the best accommodation I could’ve asked for, and I’ll definitely come back!
