Getting to Fiskardo’s lovely port took about 10 minutes, and the local shops were five minutes away. The beaches we visited seemed about the same distance. The sea view was the best we’ve ever had, honestly breathtaking. Inside, the villa was spot on: clean, good sized rooms, a sensible layout and a nice pool. The shutters were a real bonus, and the air conditioning worked well in every room. We have nothing bad to say, apart from having to leave and go home!

We spent 18 nights at Villa Helios in May 2024, and would happily stay again. It’s a peaceful place to unwind, with birds and the occasional bell-wearing goat as the only sounds. You’ll need a car, and there’s private driveway parking behind gates at the top. Outside is the real highlight. The infinity pool was amazing, though cold at that time of year, and the sea views from the upstairs balcony and main terrace were excellent. The terrace gets sun all day and has plenty of seating, including sunbeds, dining furniture, deck chairs and a shaded lounge area. Inside, the house is spacious with lots of clothes storage. The kitchen has what you need, including a Nespresso machine and dishwasher, and there’s air conditioning upstairs and downstairs. Mimi, the owner, was helpful and available whenever we needed anything.

We loved our week at Villa Helios. The views are incredible, and getting a taxi into Fiskardo was easy, so we could enjoy its many restaurants in the evening without worrying about the ride back.

We were there with our two children, and can’t wait to come back next year. The setting is unbelievably beautiful, and the villa exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, with a beautiful pool and views, and Fiskardo, the island’s nicest village, was a charming 10-minute drive away. Mimi was the best host I’ve come across. She usually answered our questions within five minutes!
